On the 1st of August, our group went out together to do our project. First, we went to Jurong Point to taste different flavours of milk tea. The shop we went to is called Sweettalk. We tasted chocolate milk tea, honey milk tea, milk tea itself, green apple milk tea and peach milk tea. The milk tea there tasted differently compared to other places. For example, Tampines, Pasir Ris and Ang Mo Kio.
At Jurong Point, the flavour of chocolate milk tea was tasteless. It had more of the taste of milk tea rather than the taste of chocolate. At Pasir Ris (Whitesands), the chocolate milk tea has more of the chocolate taste but not much of the milk tea so it tasted more of chocolate flavour which is better than the one at Jurong Point. At Ang Mo Kio, the chocolate milk tea tasted better than the one at Pasir Ris and Jurong Point. The taste suited what we were looking for. Not too sweet and not too tasteless. Next was honey milk tea. The one at Jurong Point was too sweet. They added alot of honey into the milk tea and it tasted very very sweet. The one at Ang Mo Kio tasted a bit tasteless. They added too much milk tea and too little of honey. It wasn't the right taste.
The one at Pasir Ris tasted slightly better than the ones at the other three places. Next flavour will be milk tea. The milk tea tasted all the same. Next flavour is green apple milk tea. The green apple milk tea that we tasted at Jurong Point and the one at Pasir Ris tasted the same. The taste was very sour due to the green apple flavour and it did not have much of the milk tea flavour. The one at Ang Mo Kio tasted alright. It wasn't too sweet nor too sour. We liked it. Next flavour will be peach milk tea. The one at Jurong Point and Ang Mo Kio tasted quite similiar. The taste was just nice. We all liked it. It had the right amount of peach flavour and milk tea. The one at Pasir Ris tasted more of peach which makes it more sweeter.
At Tampines, the green apple milk tea was a bit sweeter than the one at Jurong Point. The honey milk tea was just nice. It was the taste we were looking for. For the peach milk tea, the taste of the peach syrup was more than the milk tea. So it was very sweet. The milk tea itself tasted like the one at Pasir Ris and Jurong Point. However for the chocolate milk tea, it tasted the same like the one at Ang Mo Kio. So the taste of the chocolate milk was perfect and was the one we were looking for.
